Easy Street

Easy Street

I started this year’s mystery with Quiltville.com right after Thanksgiving. This is the first year I have been able to keep up with the clues and get the top put together in a timely manner. On Wednesday I finally managed to sew all the blocks into a top.
This year we are having a very cold and snowy winter so the heat pump isn’t able to keep my quilt room warm enough for me to sew out there. Once it warms up enough I’ll be able to put borders on and get it quilted.

Is anyone besides me having trouble putting a picture on blogspot from your computer?

I’m Still Here

Hard to believe it has been so long since I last posted. I have been busy unpacking and putting away fabric and have even managed to quilt a few quilts for others along the way. These are pictures of the quilts made in the 9 patch class I taught. Both of these ladies were first time quilters and I think they did wonderful work for their first quilts.

Quilting Machine in New Quilt Room

This is my first try at posting here. I have been using blogspot for the last 2.5 years and thought I’d try something new. So I hope to hear from you as I start my venture here on wordpress.

You know that you are settled when the quilting machine is up and runs. I’ve named my machine Gertie, because we used to live in WA and she was delivered in two shipments. The first one was the head and the next day we had a really strong earthquake and the day after the table arrived. So since we lived just a few miles from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge I decided to call her Gertie after the bridge that fell into the sound back in the 40’s.
